The Struggle Is Real

Hey everyone! Happy Early Thanksgiving! my break doesn't start until Wednesday but my break won't consist of much. what do y'all have planned?


These past few week's haven't been that eventful in regards to adventures and spontaneity. however, here are a few pictures of what I have done:

1. Update on the original Western State Lunatic Asylum:

   So, the land is owned by the "Villages of Staunton" and they are turning the main building of the Western State Lunatic Asylum into condos. Not only does that make me want to live here forever but it is nice to walk by it when I walk home from closing at Firehouse. Tonight, I had a spontaneous yearning to go inside since now there are lights....the only thing that stopped me was the huge whole in the wall on the side was replaced with a door and therefore, I would have had to of walked behind it which is really dark and the second floor was light-less and if I had to of climbed stairs, I could of gotten hurt (maybe arrested. Do they arrest injured people?) . ANYWAYS, here is the updated look of the place.....next time I will be inside to show you the new, updated, renovated Western State Lunatic Asylum! 

2. My new friend Sami! 

She lives on ground floor and we decided to escalate our friendship from casual T.V. watching and snacking to shopping trips at Wal-Mart. In a nutshell, we spent multiple hours there, got caught in the rain, reconsidered our wardrobe choices, waited an hour and a half for the bus to take us there, chugged caffeinated drinks and had a fun sleepover watching Austin Powers and binge eating Doritos. 

3. Taking Up Piano (Again) 

 So, since attending MBC, I decided to take up piano. I remembered more than I thought I did and now for my final I have the opportunity to play some of one of my favorite songs! 

Guess which song it is and from which musical and you get extra Brownie points ;) 

This is a random picture from the end of my last post about Halloween. Ended the weekend at Chilis.

4. The work load:

   So, I decided to take a picture because I was impressed with myself on this day. I had an essay AND a presentation due. I also accomplished 3 hours of sleep, waking up in time for class and looking pretty. All this happens over a series of time regularly....

With all the excitement (if you consider it exciting) there has also been some good, bad and ugly. Roommate drama, stress over school finances and learning the art if I am running behind, I can always put my makeup on later.
