Hey guys! Happy Belated Halloween! Did all of you have fun? Here's a little insight to my weekend and all the stuff I haven't posted on here yet:
1. Another trip to the Dejarnette Sanitarium!
I promise I am slightly obsessed and only breaking a couple of pointless laws. I just can't keep away. However, on this adventure I learned that the popo nailed my old hole shut but now I made another one :) All it requires is some slight (I mean slight, like maybe lifting your feet up once) climbing.
This time I had the opportunity to go inside the other, adjacent building for the patients that were not adolescents. Here are a couple of cool things I found:
2. Fall is in full bloom:
Finally, the reason I changed coasts...AUTUMN! There was this huge pile of leaves under the tree in front of our dorm so my roommate and I decided to jump in it!

I also had the opportunity to see the exclusive, classified, JMU tunnels!

WE probably looked like total idiots, well at lease I did because of the pictured face above but it doesn't mean a thing when you have your just as crazy roommate with you!
This was before I had to be at work and the other Danielle who lives right next to me did my hair!
3. Pre- Halloween: So, one of the events before Halloween that I as ecstatic for was the one night showing of John Carpenter's original Halloween. It took me a little while to come up with the idea of dressing up as Micheal's sister and the ultimate scream queen, Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode.
I was really nervous about the costume and I thought it was going to be an epic fail. However, I thought it really came together in the end.
Now, I've gotten several questions about this guy being my date and the answer is NO. He just had a Micheal mask on and it has been my dream to take a picture with an actual moving, walking, potentially deadly Micheal Myers and this was the best I could find. I used him just for the picture..
It's funny because he tried to ask me for my number and I explained to him that I solely used him for the picture.
This picture was from a couple days before. Kate and I went to this cheaper than dirt Hispanic restaurant and it was alright but fun to get out anyways!

Kate and I also grabbed some gelato at Split Banana. This day was actually really crappy for the both of us, so getting gelato, buying my movie ticket AND going out to eat for dinner helped us feel a bit better.
The movie in downtown Staunton is actually really small and cute! It added so much more feeling to the night.
i have to admit, that my favorite part of the week was really going to see Halloween in theaters. I feel as if, it was an event that I would be into and could be a part of. Just the experience of watching the movie on the "silver screen" with the noises coming from every direction was magical. It would have to be equal to the time I went and saw Phantom of the Opera in person. I didn't cry but rather smiled and giggled like a little school girl the entire time.
4. Halloween: The night of frolic and mischief. How did I spend it? Take a look:
I rummaged through some of Kate's old dance costumes and we thought it would be fun to try on the good, the bad and the ugly....
Kate wore this when she was 7. I am plenty of years over that age.
Kate and I also hung out with her Dad. I met his two pythons.
This was another costume. Not to shabby, LOVE the color!
I was a sexy skeleton. A little last minute but still fun to wear my corset! They are honestly one of my favorite pieces of clothing.
Aside from my extremely awkward posing, Kate was the popo and Cody (her boyfriend) an inmate.
I think this picture is adorable!
Kate's cousin Gavin also joined in for the fun! However, this time round he never learned any life lessons.
So, Kate, Cody, Erin and I decided to go to a corn maze. It was very dark and frikken cold. It was really fun when our group of four split into two and Erin and I were trying to scare/ hide from Kate and Cody. Walking around a corn field while hallucinating (I had a procedure the day before and the medicine I was given made me hallucinate. On one occasion, I hallucinated Kate walking in a room and disappearing. And in another, trees looked like they were walking) a bit really made for a fun experience! However, I don't recommend doing it...
There were a couple of other things to do...
I promise I was not drunk. I was just intrigued by the inflatable, yellow thing.
There were these pedal tractors that we had fun riding on for an hour. We all tried to race, and run each other over!
We also had some visitors...
5. 364 more days until Halloween:
This afternoon Kate, her lovely mother, her cousin and I went to a park! The skirt I am wearing is brand new and I LOVE it! It was made in India from saris and it could be a skirt or a dress!
Tonight, we went to Chilli's for dinner. Fun end to a busy and somewhat painful (due to my procedure and it's aftermath) weekend.
I forgot, I also carved a pumpkin to go with my Laurie Strode costume:
It did not take me nearly as long as I anticipated.
6. I have to say, I am highly impressed with all the Micheal Myers and Halloween memes everyone has collected for me! thank you for doing all the dirty work ;) Here are some new additions:
I would take chocolate from Micheal, any day ;)
I think this is adorable.
I have to say, I am really enjoying the fan pages for the Halloween trilogy. I laugh at least 10 times when I check my news feed. Some of the pages are just based on a single character and they post about the scenarios of the film. Like, Lynda posting an update saying, "Where is Bob with my beer?" Hahahaha, it kills me because if you watch the movie like I have, you would know the truth. It's beautiful.
This one above describes me perfectly...hahaha.
This one because who wouldn't take free hugs from Pennywise the Clown? He can make you float!
Hope everyone has a great week!
