Hey everyone! Happy New Year! How did everyone enjoy their holidays?
As of lately, mine have been kinds hectic. I officially broke it off with my high school sweetheart from California, my Grandparents and other cousins decided to make a spontaneous visit, I had my first visit to the zoo and the Smithsonian affiliate Children's museum, did a little bit of thrift shopping, went bowling, babysat, experienced American Pro Wrestling....ALOT!
As for the "break-up" all I have to say is I'm really doing well. I have a few individuals I am interested in pursuing, the other party doesn't have to worry about my absence, I don't have pressure to return until I am comfortable and it's the time of year for new beginnings! As for my last words before I forever keep my peace, I'm happy I didn't settle on not going to college and following my dreams. I am happy I also didn't settle on accepting a lack of communication or continuous drama. I am happy that I did accept the fact that, that is not the type of relationship I deserve. I wish you the best, good luck and cheers to new beginnings!
On to the fun stuff:
1. Trip to the Zoo!
My favorite animals were the monkeys, the big cats and the snakes!

1. Trip to the Zoo!
My favorite animals were the monkeys, the big cats and the snakes!
My cousin Kendall took this picture spontaneously and I am quite pleased with how it turned out!
This spider monkey here is real special. I fed him some leaves and he actually came up to the fence and ate it! I honestly want one.
This here is an American Corn Snake. This was special to see because my family, The Cooks had an American Corn Snake named Fuzzy. Growing up I used to watch him eat live albino rats and mice. When I returned to Long Beach this past year, I found out that Fuzzy had passed. This helped me remember some sweet memories of my Cook Clan and how they taught me to love all varieties of animals from snakes to tarantulas to praying mantis'.
This here is an orangutan (I think that is how you spell it. I have found a few different and confusing ways over the web.) You could tell they weren't happy. They just sat/ laid there.
This here is a lemur. Special moment because it was just as if I was meeting Joviar from one of my favorite shows as a kid, Zoboomafoo.
Did you know? Boa's have become natural invaders of Florida and the Everglades. Many individuals purchase them as babies and don't realize their commitment once they grow to a full sized adult. Then, they illegally release them into the wild and they have reproduced at a massive rate, creating 100's of sub and cross species. Now Florida and the Everglades are being taken over by Boas!
A couple or rattlesnakes. Reminded me of home!
2. American Pro Wrestling
They had a round where I got to whip the wrestlers with a belt. That's when I really went loose and got into it. Even after that round.
In a nutshell: Entertaining is the perfect word to describe it. And, every stereo-type that you could imagine of the South is there.
3. Christmas In General
Made some Christmas cookies. I loved my Gingerbread man. He was wearing a Freddie Krueger sweater and had fangs!
This was Christmas Eve. My Uncle, his gf and I went out to eat.
Had some fun with Elf On The Shelf. Promise he is not hanging himself!
It's funny because the kids assumed when the Elf did this that he died. And which prompted me not to move him.
Christmas game of Hide-n-Seek. One of my many hiding places.
This was the coolest toy! An r2d2 version of BopIt! I beat it under 20 mins.
4. A Few Spontaneous Adventures:
I literally babysat for about 2 days. This was a park day. With 7 kids.
This was from a bar date with my Uncle and his gf. I triumphantly ate a whole basket of fries along with chicken strips when everyone doubted me so this was my prize. A Jim Beam shirt with Dracula on the back! New favorite shirt!
This was from bowling. Only picture that didn't make me look weird.
This was one of the outfits I bought from thrift shopping with my Grandma. The heels aren't normally my cup of tea but I love them! I also sorta feels like Carrie Bradshaw which is a fabulous bonus!
There are probably a couple of pictures in here that I will very much regret posting one day from the past few weeks. Example being the one featured above. It was in the spirit of fun, and the fact that my last week I will be once again flying solo. Therefore, what the hell!
My little prodigy, Kendall. I was showing her how to kick butt in my favorite game--Air Hockey!
These are two random memes I found and they make me very happy :) The second one is the only appropriate time to use the phrase, "Now watch me whip; Now watch me nae nae."
Hope everyone either has a wonderful week of work and school or enjoys the rest of their break! I know I will ;)
