Happy Almost Independence Day Everyone!! It's been awhile since my last blog post because my work has been keeping me busy along with also having fun! In a nutshell, I just really haven't felt like blog posting until now! :)
Anyways, here's a collection of what's happened and what is currently happening in my life right now!
1. Alec and I Broke Up
About two months ago, Alec and I broke up for good. To be completely honest, I felt fine about it. Not because I didn't love him but because it simply came down to me just being over it. We had broken up once before, gotten back together and that is when I really experienced any break-up mourning and grief.
Alec and I had alot of fun together. When we broke up for the first time, we decided to still go out and enjoy a planned day at King's Dominion. This time round, it felt as if we had broken up before the actual split. Therefore, I had a whole week before the fact to process the situation. I've also realized that I'm also used to individuals exiting my life, therefore, where would I be if I were to get upset over it all the time?!
^^^ I'd be here ^^^
Anyways, here's a look back at my last adventures with Alec:
2. Work, Work, Work, Work, Work!
Like always, I'm still educating tiny humans! To be completely honest, I am missing all of them like crazy! I'm going to run in there on Monday (hopefully they don't have stranger anxiety due to some cosmetic changes, haha) give them all kiss' and squeezes and enjoy being back at work!

Anyways, here's a look back at my last adventures with Alec:
Before Valentine's Day, we explored the Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens in Richmond! It was cold, it was winter but it was still an awesome experience!
For Valentine's Day, Alec and I exchanged gifts (the card and book above are part of my gift to him) and enjoyed dinner and a night together before we headed out to Ohio for a long weekend!
One thing Alec's mother and I did was go shoe shopping and explore a little seafood market! I really loved how similar Alec's Mom and I were. We could shop for hours, we are both teachers, ect.
On the final day of our adventure, Alec and I explored the Franklin Park Conservatory in Columbus! One thing I regret is being a total brat that day.
For Valentine's Day, Alec bought tickets to see the Phantom of the Opera US Tour! It was awesome!
For Easter, Alec and I met up with his family at his Aunt's house in Virginia!
Our final outing was to Chippokes Plantation State Park! We spent all day hiking the trails, walking along the little beach and stumbling upon a free tea party! After this adventure, we took the ferry into Williamsburg and we walked around the colonial section before deciding on a place to eat. At the end of the day, I drove us home (I also drove us to the state park) and we didn't die so I consider it a success!

This is my class! The ratio for infants is 1:4 therefore, I have an awesome co-teacher Ms. Tanisha! I completely love my job. I love my team mates and I just love my kids!
This was my teacher portrait.
I've also been babysitting quite a bit!
I'n still working at the church. It's been a whole year and I'm up for a huge raise and promotion!
A gift from one of my baby loves for Teacher Appreciation Week!
I also started a classroom tradition by putting on a birthday party for all the babies who turn 1! One of the wonderful families gave me beautiful flowers as a thank you!
3. Spontaneous Adventures With My Best Friend Autumn!
These are just normal chicks.
We decided to have a Danielle Day! That turned into a photo shoot at Hollywood Cemetery, showing off my favorite oddity shop, Rest in Pieces and picking up silky chicks (Autumn is obsessed)!
Autumn invited me to fishing in her neighbor's pond. I loved being surrounded by beautiful scenery, fun friends and being down to earth!
Autumn has really been getting into poetry. I watched her perform live at a poetry reading :)
For Memorial Day (or one of those holidays) Autumn, our friend Brittany and I explored a rock and gem shop! It was really cool :)
4. Miscellaneous Adventures
I've really been getting into antiquing! Most of the pictured things I bought for myself and some I thought were totally weird and needed to be seen by the world. One thing I love about antiquing and thrift shopping is finding steals. For example, I snagged the above Norman Rockwell print for $12. Online it goes for $100+ due to the size and print content :)
When I go thrifting and antiquing, I'm also on the hunt for Holocaust memoirs. This gem is signed by the author!
I also couldn't help but treat myself to these wicked shoes designed by Katy Perry! The ghost ones glow in the dark :)
5. My Vacation
For the past week, I've been on holiday in Florida! It's been an adventure for sure!
Saying goodbye to Richmond!
SURPRISE! I went back to being blonde! I love my red hair but since I'm on vacation, I decided it was time for a change. I might keep it for awhile.
Before my hair makeover, of coarse I was having a great hair day! One thing I don't miss about the red hair is the bleeding of color when my hair would get wet! Going to the beach has been so much more fun without having to worry about red dye getting on absolutely everything!
The dock that leads into the canal in my grandparent's backyard.
I treated my 12 year old cousin to the beach. We ate alligator, picked out clams and buried each other! One source of conflict on this vacation has been the expectation of free babysitting from my grandmother. She assumed that I would just enjoy babysitting on my vacation. I had to remind her that I work full-time with kids, that I work hard for time off and since I paid for my vacation, I am not going to babysit. She then proclaimed how I should find a better job since I don't like kids, ect, ect.
Annnyways, a day at the beach was different. 12 year old's can pretty much take care of themselves so I thought it would be a fun little adventure to take him and treat him to the beach.
I return home tomorrow and I can't wait to get back! My best friend Autumn is meeting me at the airport and I can't wait to see her! It's been a couple weeks because she recently got married ad went on her honeymoon. I hope everyone has a fun-filled 4th of July!
