Hey y'all! How is everyone doing? It's been awhile but I have been busy. I came home and moved off campus and was let go from my job. Let go NOT fired. I spent quite a romantic week (now I don't kiss and tell...some of the time ;)) and came home to packing, a new temporary roommate and being let go from Firehouse because my new general manager hired individuals while I was away on approved time and in the end he decided to let me go so they could obtain more hours.
Quite a lot to handle but now all seems well. Take a look:
1. Some of my final adventures in South Carolina:
I went to a basketball game with my little cousins and spent my final week semi-partying. I finally had the opportunity to drink a cosmopolitan! A few, actually....
4. Asylum Exploration Pt. 6
It actually wasn't my idea. My friend wanted to inquire about the remodeling of the Wharf (the main lunatic building) and how much the condos rent for. I noticed there was a graveyard up yonder and therefore, I was dropped off and explored on my own. Actually, not really dropped off, more like abandoned at the abandoned asylum.

These are my little cousins. They are literally the cutest bunch of kids...ever!
We got ice cream after the game.
My first actual cosmopolitan. Smile is brought on by my Uncle and the ingredients that go into making one: two shots of vodka, one shot of orange liquor, half a lime, one to two shots of lemonade and one to two shots of cranberry juice. Shake well.
The beauty of this moment was, I was at a bar and ordered a cosmo. The waitress ID'd me and I passed. What's funny is my actual age is clearly written on the top of my ID, next to my photo. However, I bet it helped that I knew exactly what I wanted as opposed to asking. Cosmos and Angry Orchard all the way! I only had one of each if anyone was wondering....
This was my little buddy for my two solo weeks in South Carolina. His name is Dallas and he was a tad high maintenance but such a cuddle bug. I miss him everyday.
2. Current Dream Job
I say that my current job is my dream job because it kinda is for right now. I work 5 days a week, from 2-6 (yay for not morning people who LOVE to sleep!) and I have no uniform. I plan activities and pretty much get the benefits of the head teachers.
These are some of my kiddos in my class. The little guy in the green shirt is my fav!
This is one of the activities I did with them. We made "Arctic Owls". Kids like to color so I thought it would be more fun if they actually had the opportunity to color as opposed to them being all white.
This was my first official day. I only had two children in my class so we experimented with snow and made paper snowballs and snowmen.
This is this previous week's theme, Things in Motion. This activity was a little last minute.
This was an activity that occupied them for about an hour and a half! We made Snow Dough out of baking soda and kiwi smelling shampoo. They LOVED it and the clean-up afterwards was just like the aftermath of that weekend's snow storm--Snowmageddon.
3. My Own Room!
So I now officially rent my own room in a house. My landlord is actually really cool (fingers crossed it sticks) and I can enjoy living in a house while not paying for the full experience. My room is actually a really great deal-- $325 a month with utilities, cable and wifi included. The only downside is I walk up a MASSIVE hill. It's literally like 4 hills on top of each other that Satan built himself but each days get easier.
These are my keys. This was a proud moment.
My bed that I built single handedly! I'm actually very proud since I listened and followed most of the instructions.

This is when I found a new entrance!
This is a creepy hallways and bathroom. I LOVE this picture! Something very serene and peaceful about it while also creepy.
For awhile there, it felt like I was in Asylumville. You turn one corner and there are buildings....everywhere.
This was the graveyard I was tellin' y'all about.
This is was some of the building I explored. I have plans to return with a companion.
Inside another building.
Another building.
The Wharf. Which I have explored on two separate occasions. Also the building that is being turned into condos.
Courtyard which leads into another building.
Connection between two other buildings.
A nice creepy looking, rusty part of the building I semi-explored.
5. 2 Day Party
So, back tracking a little bit, when I arrived back in Virginia I didn't return to campus for about a week. Although, when I came back to campus everything became a little crazy. A friend and me used to be temporary new roommate Shaina, was moving in and I had 2 days to pack and move in to my used to be new place.
When I got back into my room I was actually I little gobsmacked in the state that I left it. For example, I left my fragrance wax burner on all month, I didn't really take any time to clean before I left (my sheets were the same ones I used before I left. However, luckily I took the time to change them right before I left) and I had no food.
So, that night I walked to 7/11, stocked up on some snacks and had a really fun time with my used to be new roommate and her friends. All while procrastinating my packing.
What is pictured here is two cans of Monster, a can of Red Bull, a bag of Takis, a 7/11 apple pie, and a trillion bags of Doritos Cool Ranch.
6. Livin' It Up In The Country
Life has really calmed down a bit. now I mostly work, sleep and chill at home.
Except one day I decided to work out at the gym.
I know, I know, I am kinda turning into that individual who takes pictures of their food. But to be completely honest, I am just surprised I haven't burned the house down with all the mistakes in the process and that I am mustering up the energy to create actual consumable food. Other than microwavable things.
And there was one day I spontaneously decided to attend church and was asked to play the piano in Primary (the place the children go). I am terrified yet excited. When I practice the songs it brings back memories of when I was a little girl and when I was really religious. But I am terrified because admittedly, I am not that good at the piano. Part of why being I loath figuring out notes and applying them!
My first practice. Did somewhat better than I expected.
I also decided to volunteer at the Bernie Sanders campaign spot in Staunton. My first time was last Saturday. All that really happened was I sat around on my laptop waiting for individuals to pop in and ask questions, I binged ate about 7 Slim Jims, and had a small argument with woman who was voting for Bernie yet believed that racist symbols such as the Nazi or confederate flag were/ are appropriate in a public setting.
7. Valentines Day
So is it just me or is Valentines Day on steroids this year? Every time I walk into WalMart, the displays grow and the semi-official Valentines colors, red, pink and white are popping up EVERYWHERE! Admittedly, I am kinda high off of the V-day drug but still. This is how I have celebrated so far:
I had a party at work. I filled my students up with Twizzlers, cookies, salami and goldfish. Probably some of the most random of food combinations but they were great anyways!
These were the Valentines I received. I am really lovin' the one of my little student P!
I also went out to dinner and had a very lovely evening last night. Hopefully doing something tomorrow but we shall certainly see. With that being said, I hope everyone near and far has a wonderful Sunday, Valentines or Singles Awareness Day! I found this meme today and it made me laugh:
And while on the topic of Silence Of The Lambs, I found this other gem:
